The first Twitter Developer Nest will be kicking off this evening at Sun Microsystems Customer Briefing Centre in central London at 6pm GMT. All 90 tickets for the event went in just 26 hours and a small re-release of cancelled tickets went in just 30 minutes yesterday. Unfortunately this means that many people that want to participate won’t be able to join us.

Fortunately Chris Dalby (@yellowpark) is organising a stream of the event via UStream. This will start at 6:45pm GMT, once event attendees have eaten all the food and drink kindly provided by Sun Startup Essentials. We hope this will allow loads of developers around the world to participate. We’ll be keeping an eye on #devnest hash tag, please use this if you have something to contribute.

The team at Twitter will be participating remotly, Twitter Co-founder, Biz Stone (@biz) got in touch to say:

We’re looking forward to the cool projects that will be hatched at the Twitter Developer Nest. The work coming out of the Twitter developer community is not only inspiring—it also creates important variety for users.

We’ll be joined by Doug Williams (@dougw) who heads up Twitter API Support for a Q&A session at 7:30pm GMT. If you have a question for Doug please tweet it and use the hash tag #devnest.

The full schedule for the evening is as follows:

18:00 Arrival networking, food & beer sponsored by Sun Startup Essentials

18:45 Welcome (@JonMarkwell) – inuda.com

The Twitter Developer Nest is inspired by the hugely successful Facebook Developer Garage: London, it’s our intention to evolve the event in a similar style but with a few Twitter-esque differences.

So far we have the following confirmed speakers:

Nick Halstead (@nickhalstead) from tweetmeme.com
